Trust and Safety
How trust works on Gigförmedlingen in the first version - and what we're building next.
Direct contact between customer and provider in the first version
In the first version, customers and providers contact each other directly and agree on the task, price, and payment themselves. We've chosen to launch the platform in stages so we can properly test the core functions before adding more complex features like platform payments and identity verification.
- • You are responsible for assessing the person you'll work with or hire.
- • Use common sense - ask for references, meet in a public place the first time if it's a new arrangement, and tell someone where you're going.
- • Stop if something feels wrong and keep written communication about the task.
Trust features being built step by step
Identity verification with BankID and Freja eID, platform payments with fraud protection, dispute handling, and reviews after completed assignments are planned for upcoming versions. These features are not active in the first version. Rollout happens step by step based on feedback and stability.
Advice for you in the first version
Because the platform's trust features are being built, your own judgement is the most important tool. Read the listing carefully, meet in a public place if it's a physical assignment, agree on price, scope, and payment method in writing, use payment methods that give you a receipt, and keep communication and receipts for at least six months.
Do not share more than necessary
Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information. Do not upload or send ID documents, personal records, or other details that are not needed to agree on the task.
Platform rules
To keep Gigförmedlingen safe for everyone, clear rules apply:
- • Prohibited services are removed immediately - see our list of prohibited services.
- • No fake listings or fake user profiles.
- • No harassment or discrimination.
- • Repeated rule violations lead to suspension.
- • Suspect a violation? Contact us via the contact page.
