1. About these terms
These Provider Terms apply to users who publish service Listings or otherwise offer services on the Gigförmedlingen platform ("the Platform"). They apply alongside the Terms of Service and, when activated, the Payment Terms. Where these Provider Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Provider Terms apply for the part of the service that involves offering services as a Provider.
By publishing a Listing, responding to a Request, or otherwise offering services on the Platform, you accept these Provider Terms.
2. Eligibility to offer services
To offer services on the Platform, you must:
- be at least 18 years of age, or be a minor with documented guardian consent and guardian-proxy verification per the Terms for Minors
- be legally entitled to perform the services you offer in Sweden
- hold any licenses, permits, certifications, or insurance that the services in question legally require
- be entitled to receive payment for the services under Swedish and EU law, including any applicable tax registration
- accept responsibility for the legality, safety, and quality of the services you offer
You confirm these eligibility requirements when you publish a Listing or accept a Request and on a continuing basis while you remain active on the Platform. You must update your status promptly if any of these requirements ceases to be met.
3. Tax status and F-skatt
Sweden requires Providers offering services to identify their tax status. The Platform records whether you have F-skatt or operate as an individual without F-skatt. This affects how taxes and social charges are handled between you, the Customer, and the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).
You are responsible for:
- correctly declaring your F-skatt status on your profile
- maintaining valid tax registration where applicable
- declaring income from services performed through the Platform
- paying taxes and social charges due on that income
- providing the Platform with the tax-reporting information required under the EU DAC7 directive when requested
The Platform does not act as your employer and does not deduct or remit taxes or social charges on your behalf. You operate independently as a service provider.
4. Listings and accuracy
Your Listings must:
- accurately describe the services you offer
- accurately reflect your skills, experience, and qualifications
- include only images you have rights to use
- include clear pricing or pricing indication where required
- specify the geographic area where services are offered
- comply with the prohibited-content rules in section 6 of the Terms of Service
You may maintain multiple Listings for distinct services. You may not duplicate Listings to manipulate visibility, search ranking, or category coverage.
The Platform may review, edit, suspend, or remove Listings that violate these Provider Terms, the Terms of Service, applicable law, or community standards.
5. Customer interactions and agreements
In Early Access, you contact and are contacted by Customers directly using the contact details made available through the Platform. You agree on price, scope, timing, and payment with each Customer between yourselves.
When you agree to perform a service, you are entering into a contract with the Customer, not with the Platform. The Platform is not party to the agreement and is not your client.
You must:
- respond to Requests and proposals honestly and within reasonable timeframes
- only commit to services you can deliver
- communicate promptly if you cannot meet an agreed scope or deadline
- treat Customers with respect and without discrimination
When platform payments activate in a later version, the Payment Terms set out additional rules for how agreements, invoicing, and payments are processed through the Platform.
6. Service performance and quality
You are responsible for the services you perform. This includes:
- delivering work that meets the agreed scope and quality
- performing the work safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
- using your own tools, materials, and equipment unless otherwise agreed
- maintaining adequate insurance for the work where applicable
The Platform does not warrant the quality of any service performed by any Provider. Customers contract with you directly and rely on your representations about your services.
If a Customer is dissatisfied, you should attempt to resolve the issue directly. In Early Access, the Platform does not mediate quality or completion disputes.
7. Pricing and payment in Early Access
In Early Access, you set your own prices and agree on payment with each Customer directly. The Platform does not currently process payments between users, hold funds in escrow, or charge platform fees on transactions.
You are responsible for:
- agreeing on price clearly with the Customer before performing the service
- agreeing on payment timing and method
- invoicing the Customer if required by Swedish law for your business form
- collecting payment from the Customer
- declaring and paying taxes on the income
When platform payments activate in a later version, the Payment Terms set out fee structure, fund-holding, and payout rules. Until then, no platform fees, service commissions, or transaction fees apply.
8. Refunds and complaints in Early Access
In Early Access, refunds are agreed directly between you and the Customer. The Platform does not process refunds.
If a Customer asks for a refund or partial refund, you should respond in good faith based on the agreement and applicable consumer protection law. Swedish consumer law gives consumers certain rights regarding services purchased; these rights apply to your relationship with the Customer regardless of the Platform.
When platform-mediated refund handling activates in a later version, separate refund terms will apply.
9. Reviews
Reviews and provider ratings are not active in Early Access. When the review system launches in a later version, separate review terms will apply, including:
- eligibility (reviews tied to completed orders)
- review content rules
- moderation and appeal processes
- aggregation and display rules
Until then, no provider rating is published or computed by the Platform.
10. Verification
Identity verification (BankID, Freja eID, or document verification) is not active in Early Access. When verification activates in a later version, separate verification terms will apply. Until then, you operate as a self-identified Provider, and Customers contract with you on that basis.
You may, at your own discretion, voluntarily share verification documents (such as a police register extract, professional certifications, or insurance proof) with Customers as part of negotiating a service. The Platform does not validate these documents in Early Access.
11. Suspension and removal
The Platform may suspend or remove your Listings, your Provider profile, or your access to provider features if you:
- violate these Provider Terms or the Terms of Service
- generate repeated complaints from Customers
- engage in fraudulent or deceptive conduct
- repeatedly fail to honor agreements
- offer services in violation of applicable law
In serious cases, suspension may be immediate. In other cases, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
You may close your Provider profile or unpublish individual Listings at any time through your account settings.
12. Liability between Provider and Platform
You are responsible for the services you provide, agreements you make, and conduct you engage in on the Platform. The Platform is not liable for losses or damages arising from your services or your relationships with Customers, except to the extent caused by the Platform's own negligence or breach.
You agree to hold the Platform harmless from claims by Customers arising from services you provide, except to the extent the claim arises from the Platform's own conduct.
The Platform's liability to you is set out in the Terms of Service section 11.
13. Changes to these Provider Terms
We may update these Provider Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice through the Platform, by email to the address associated with your Account, or both. Continued use of provider features after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you do not accept the updated terms, you may unpublish your Listings and discontinue use of provider features before the effective date.
14. Contact
Questions about these Provider Terms can be sent via the contact page.
The Platform's data controller is identified in the Privacy Policy. Controller information will be published before public launch.
