1. Our commitment
The Gigförmedlingen platform ("the Platform") is committed to making its digital service accessible to as many people as possible, including users with disabilities. This statement describes the Platform's current accessibility status, known limitations, and how to provide feedback or request alternatives.
2. Standard we work to
The Platform is designed and tested with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as set out in the European harmonized standard EN 301 549. We follow the European Accessibility Act framework as it applies to digital services in Sweden.
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA across the Platform's public pages and authenticated user flows. Where parts of the Platform do not yet meet this level, those gaps are listed in section 4 below.
3. Compliance status
The Platform is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Most pages meet the standard; some pages and components have known gaps that we are working to close. The compliance status will be updated as gaps are addressed.
4. Known limitations
The following accessibility limitations are known and are being addressed:
- Some interactive elements in the account-management area do not yet have full keyboard navigation support
- Some images uploaded by users (Listings, profile photos) do not have alternative text. Where images are user-uploaded, we encourage but cannot enforce alternative-text quality
- Color contrast in a small number of decorative elements may not yet meet AA thresholds
- Screen-reader announcements for some real-time updates (such as status changes during checkout when platform payments activate) may need refinement
- PDF and DOCX documents linked from the Platform may not always be fully accessible. The legal documents are available in HTML form on their respective pages, which is the more accessible format.
The list above is not exhaustive. We continue to test and improve accessibility, and additional gaps may be identified over time.
5. Features that support accessibility
The Platform includes the following accessibility-supporting features:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigation for primary user flows
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Color contrast meeting AA thresholds for primary text and interactive controls
- Responsive design that supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Language attributes set correctly on Swedish and English content
- Form labels and error messages associated with input fields
- Skip-to-main-content link for screen reader and keyboard users
6. Browsers and assistive technologies
The Platform is tested with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We test screen-reader compatibility with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. We test keyboard-only navigation as part of our accessibility verification.
If you encounter accessibility issues with a different browser or assistive technology, please contact us so we can investigate.
7. Feedback and alternative formats
If you encounter accessibility barriers on the Platform, want to report a specific issue, or need an alternative format for content, contact us via the contact page.
When reporting an accessibility issue, please include:
- the page or feature where the issue occurs
- a description of the issue
- the assistive technology, browser, and operating system you are using
We respond to accessibility feedback within a reasonable timeframe and aim to provide alternatives or workarounds while we work on a permanent fix.
8. Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (Myndigheten för digital förvaltning, DIGG), which monitors compliance with accessibility legislation in Sweden.
9. Preparation of this statement
This statement is reviewed and updated as the Platform evolves and as new accessibility gaps are identified or closed. The most recent review date is shown at the top of this document.
10. Contact
Accessibility questions, feedback, and requests for alternative formats can be sent via the contact page.
The Platform's data controller is identified in the Privacy Policy. Controller information will be published before public launch.
