Create a provider profile
To start offering services on Gigförmedlingen, you need a provider profile. It shows who you are, what you offer, and how customers can contact you.
How do I start offering services?
- Log in to your account
- Click your avatar in the top right
- Choose Post a service
- Fill in your provider profile
- Publish
You can switch between seeking help and offering services at any time - you don't need separate accounts.
What should be on the profile?
- Display name. Your real name or business name works well. Abbreviations and pseudonyms give a poorer impression.
- Profile picture. A clear picture of yourself or your logo if you run a business.
- Short description. Who you are, what you do, how long you've been doing it.
- Long description. More details about your experience, your specialties, and what makes you good.
- Service area. Where can you travel? Some categories require physical presence, others can be done digitally.
- Contact. Customers can message you through Gigförmedlingen. Keep your profile clear so customers understand what you offer and how you work.
What makes good provider profiles?
- Clear. Skip the jargon. Write as you speak.
- Specific. "I've been painting houses for 12 years" is better than "experienced painter".
- Friendly. People hire people they like.
- Honest. Be open about what you can and can't do.
Services vs. profile
The profile is who you are. The services are what you offer. You can have multiple services linked to the same profile - for example "Indoor painting" and "Wallpapering".

Verification
Verification with BankID, Freja eID, or document and selfie verification helps customers understand who they are contacting. If verification is not active for your account yet, keep your profile clear and use messages to explain your experience.
